Rusty Sheridan was born in Tehran, Iran and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He received bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and mass media communications from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Fine Arts in film & video production from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His creative interests include writing and directing narrative and commercial content. Sheridan's work has been featured in international film festivals, on television, webcast, and in art galleries. Sheridan is an Assistant Professor of Media & Communication at East Tennessee State University, where he teaches courses in film/video production and broadcasting.  Sheridan is also the program director of the annual Push! Film Festival, a three-day celebration of film in the twin cities of Bristol VA/TN.
